For the purpose of this review I will be installing the following into the Antec P190+1200 The installation was pretty normal, I had to refit the guides for the optical drive twice as the first time it didn’t slide far enough back into the case, no real issues though. The cable management on the Antec P190 is one of the best I personally have used. There are pre mounted cable ties on the rear of the motherboard tray with mounts for several more. I’m not usually one for taking a lot of time to manage my cable routing but I did take a few minutes to route the cables, where possible, around the back of the motherboard tray and this left the front side looking a lot tidier than normal, just don’t look at the rear though ;o)
Bit tidier than normal thanks to the cable management.
Because the cables are all hidden back here. The P190 powered up first time but the top fans weren’t spinning, hmm not good I thought however it was my fault, the cable management does run rather close to them and a couple of cables were stopping them from spinning, 30 seconds later and all the fans were spinning. I can report there are no nasty vibrations or noises to be heard at all, not surprising for a case like this as it’s built like a tank. With the case fans on low speed the case is pretty much silent, medium you can hear the fans though they aren’t really obtrusive its not until you set all the fans to high speed that they might become overly loud for some people, the majority of the noise came from the 120 / 140mm fans, the 200mm fan is pretty much silent at all speeds. Its at this point I tried to fit the side panel with the 200mm fan on to see if that helped reduce the noise. I say TRIED to fit as it wouldn’t go on due to the height of my cpu cooler so a word of warning, if your cooler is as tall as an Akasa EVO blue, which is probably 20mm or so too tall, you will need to get a lower profile cooler.
The “Snake Light” is a novel inclusion and could be potentially a godsend and it gives of quite a powerful light for a led. Next Page - Conclusion
