Conclusion

The OCZ Stealth X Stream 600watt psu is a great psu and is only really let down by its lack of sata power connectors and slightly short cables, if the sata power cable was a mere 5cm longer I wouldn’t have had to use the Molex adapter. I feel it could easily power a pc much more powerful than the one I tested it on today. The fan is very quiet I cannot hear it at all above my fans, and my fans are not loud at all as I am using my media pc to test this psu today. It’s also a very reasonable price coming in at around £60 so anyone looking for a good mid range psu should consider buying it, beware though, in my opinion, it is lacking sata connectors and the cables are a tad short.

Pros

  • Quiet.
  • Reasonable price.
  • Well built.
  • Powerful enough for all but the most powerful spec pc’s.

Cons

  • Lacking Sata power connectors.
  • Cables a little short.

Reality Check: I award the OCZ Stealth X Stream 600watt power supply a GOLD award. Had it got a few more Sata connectors and slightly longer cables it would have achieved a higher award.

Many thanks to OCZ for supplying the PSU for review.
