Introduction

The Akasa Group of companies was founded in 1997 with offices in Taipei and London. Our management team are all experienced in Electronic and Electro-mechanical product development. They currently have offices in London, Taipei, Rotterdam and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Akasa have been at the forefront of the Custom PC revolution, beginning in 2000 with the introduction of Extreme Coolers, for the overclocking fraternity, quickly followed by aerodynamic round cables and PAXmate sound absorption kits. These Akasa PC products can be found in “High St. everywhere”, retailed through the leading on-street companies, they can also be found at the major e-retailers. Akasa first stepped into the PSU market last year with the pax power, a 460w quiet power supply and it was a very impressive jump into the market as the PSU proved to be both solid and cheap too.

Today we are looking at there new singing and dancing Akasa Power Plus, this a 650W quad rail beast that should have more than enough juice for the highest spec system and servers.  Well whether it’s a server you would be buying this for or a high end pc hopefully over the coarse of this review we will see that Akasa have followed on from there mid range PSU with a solid performance across the rails. With that, said lets get the package out and start the review.
