With the tiny £49.95 Opera S5T+ Kleer wireless transmitter dongle for iPad/Pod/Phone, owners of Sennheiser RS160, RS170 and RS180 Kleer Wireless headphones, can now take them on the road or on holiday and get their full CD Hi-fi Quality wireless sound in mobile form.

The Sennheiser Kleer transmitters for the RS170 and 180 are large fixed home devices. The transmitter for the RS160 is smaller, but still chunky and needs battery power and a cable feed.

TDK too have an excellent Kleer headset, but that also has a large battery operated transmitter.

The Opera S5T+ is light and tiny, connects directly to an iPod/Phone iPad and is powered from the host device.  A no-brainer if portability is required and no batteries are needed.

The S5T+ operates in the 2.4Ghz band minimising drop out due to other radio sources such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A Kleer radio channel occupies only 3MHz of spectrum, allowing 16 channels. Channel switching is done in less than 800 microseconds. Result, no drop-outs on music and no interference.
