                      MovieBox Deluxe

Part-1-In the box

Pinnacle   MovieBox Deluxe Around  £199.99

Today we will be looking at the MovieBox Deluxe-USB2 from Pinnacle so first let’s get on with the contents and packaging.

The Packaging it self is well thought out, unlike the PCTV it was not over sized.

The extra room under the box is for the cables manuals ect.

SO What’s Actually in the pack

Included in this package is the main unit itself (MovieBox deluxe) +stand, Power Adapter, USB2 Lead and a Firewire to DV lead. On the Software side there is a copy of Pinnacle Studio 9 which normally retails on it own for around £50 – 60. Other included is Hollywood plus mega.

Ok let’s take a closer look at the device it self.

If you look at the above photo you will notice there are 2 sides in the MovieBox one is input the other is output, any way well get back to that later. First lets look at the rest of the MovieBox including its stand.

This was when I noticed the Design by Porsche on the unit itself nice touch and it does make it look special. Below is Picture of the input on the left and the output on the right, the input (left) has svideo, composite, L+R RCA and firewire inputs

The output side has the USB port (for Connect to pc), power input, svideo, Composite and RCA L+R.

Ok enough of that lets get on with installation and specs.

The first thing I would is this device is only USB2 compatible and not backwards with 1.1, the reason for this is the same reason as the PCTV-USB2 I reviewed earlier its to maintain the quality buy utilizing the bandwidth of USB2.
