11 Mbps WAM-2104P Wireless Router
JAHT 11Mbps

Today we will be looking at the JAHT 11Mbps soho router. JAHT is new to the
So lets take a look at the packaging

You can plainly see the main unit itself would have no chance of movement during shipping and is well packed, something my linksys wasn’t.
SO What’s Actually in the pack

Included in this package is a LAN cable, ADSL cable, power supply, instructions and of coarse the main unit. The first impressions were good, why well as you will se the router itself is small and thin it also has quite a nice shape to it. I know that’s not a lot but after seeing nothing but oversized house bricks for Wireless routers this makes a change by being only 1 inch thickness.

The front of the unit is simple 8 lights and a power switch the lights in order left to right are for the 4 LAN ports, RXD, ADSL, WLAN and Power. At The rear we have the connections from left to right Power, 4 LAN ports and ADSL in as well as the multi directional aerial. So everything that should be there is.

Ok now that lets get on with Specs and installation.

Features
• Shared Internet Access. All users on the LAN can access the Internet through WAM-4054P, using only a single external IP Address. (Routing mode)
• Standard Compliance. ADSL-Compliant with ANSI T1.413 Issue 2, ITU G.992.1 (G.DMT), and G.992.2 (G.lite). • Data Transfer Rate. Data rate up to 8 Mbps downstream and up to 1 Mbps upstream
• User Friendly Interface. Simple and intuitive graphical user interface
• Fixed or Dynamic IP Address. On the Internet (WAN port) connection, WAM-4054P supports both Dynamic IP Address (IP Address is allocated on connection) and Fixed IP Address.
• Virtual Servers. This feature allows Internet users to access Internet servers which located on LAN side. The required setup is quick and easy.
• DMZ. One PC on your local LAN can be configured to allow unrestricted 2-way communication with Servers or individual users on the Internet. This provides the ability to run programs which demand for bi-directional communication.
This is a must with today’s routers and I was glad to see it in specs
• Built-in 4-port switch. Four Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDI/MDI-X Ethernet RJ-45 ports are used to connect office network or workstations.
• DHCP Server support. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol provides a dynamic IP address to PCs and other devices upon request. WAM-4054P can act as a DHCP Server for devices on your local LAN
.• Easy Setup. Use WEB browser from anywhere to begin the configuration
.• Remote Management. WAM-4054P can be managed from any PC on your LAN. If the Internet connection exists, it can also be configured via the Internet.
• NAT Protection. An intrinsic side effect of NAT (Network Address Translation) technology is that by allowing all LAN users to share a single IP address, the location and even the existence of each PC is hidden. From the external viewpoint, there is no network, only a single device - WAM-4054P.
• Supports 802.11b Wireless Stations. The built-in 11Mbps wireless access point provides users to build a wireless network instantly.
• WEP support. Support for WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is included. Key sizes of 64 Bit and 128 Bit are supported

As you can clearly see this router has high specs, ok its not a 54 Mbps version but it still carries good specs and is configurable for any set up
I was also impressed with the time it took me to set this up but ill leave that for the next page.
