Ulead PhotoImpact 11

I will try to make this short as I ramble sometimes; being an Adobe PhotoShop CS user, I have become used too many of the high quality functions and have assumed that PhotoShop CS is better because of the price tag. I am right in that assumption of course but PhotoImpact is some very impressive image editing software, it has just under 100 filters and I stopped counting the enhancements once I got past 150. It is extremely easy to use with the basic layout mode and I would recommend it to any novice user looking for a high quality and reasonably priced image-editing software at $89.99, which is just over 50 pounds.

In the battle between PhotoShop Elements and PhotoImpact it is not really a close call PhotoImpact Blows Elements out of the water, not only does PhotoImpact have all of Elements functions it also has the added bonus of Photo Explorer 8.6 which is an extremely useful product. Maybe not for an advanced user but for a home computer PhotoImpact is idle allowing your children to use basic mode without becoming confused and you can use the more advanced functions for work or web design then add to the fact that it is 5 pounds cheaper than elements too boot and there is really no contest.

8/10

Pros
Duel Layouts (Basic & Advanced)
User Friendly
Great package (Photo Explorer 8.6 & COOL 360)
Value For Money

Cons
Dull Advanced Layout
No Layer Styles

Thanks to Ulead for supplying the Software for review
