Thermaltake TMG A3 Silent CPU cooler

I think it is safe to say the TMG A3 isn’t aimed at the performance users of the pc market. It is slightly better than stock cooling at cooling the CPU but not a great deal, it could improve slightly as the thermal paste settles though. It is however a lot quieter and this is where I think it will appeal to a lot of people and in that respect it can’t be faulted, as it is VERY quiet. All in all it is a good cooler if you are looking for a replacement for your stock cooler and at $20 (approx £10 at the moment) it’s a bargain. This would be and ideal cooler for those of you wanting to build a quiet media centre or PC and I am sure you wont have problems with installing this cooler in even the most height restrictive Media PC cases.

All things considered it does not cool much better than stock, but the fact it is really quiet and won’t break the bank makes it a bargain so I give the Thermaltake TMG A3 a silver for being an excellent silent solution.

Pros.
• Excellent value.
• Very quiet.
• Simple to fit.
• Will fit even the most restricted cases

Cons.
• Not much better than stock cooling.
