Thermaltake Evo Blue ( W0307 ) 650W PSU

The Thermaltake Evo Blue is an excellent psu. The fan is silent, I couldn’t hear it over the rest of the system anyway and my pc is fairly quiet. It looks good, in my opinion anyway, with its slightly different styling. The multi coloured led’s in the fan might not be to everyone’s taste but they can be switched off. As to its performance well I would say it’s great, I doubt there are many pc’s out there that it couldn’t power, and those that it can’t power would probably be monsters with multiple high end graphics cards.

At the time of writing the only prices I could find for the Evo Blue were in Australian dollars which when converted to the British pound equated to around £90, which isn’t exactly cheap but then quality never is.

Pros

  • Modular so you only need fit the cables you will use.
  • Energy saving at 80%+ efficiency.
  • VERY quiet fan
  • Active PFC
  • Looks good, in my opinion.
  • Comes with a bag to put the unused cables in.

Cons

  • Not exactly cheap.

Reality Check: Rock solid performance and looks good to what more could you want? If you want a good mid to high power power supply with some different styling then look no further the Thermaltake Evo Blue power supply would certainly do the job.

Many thanks to Thermaltake for supplying the Evo Blue for review
