Thermaltake eSports Isurus headset

To get the very best results out of the headphones tests, I will be using the headsets in the entire portable device range we have at our disposal. These will include music; movie and of course gaming playback to see if they can produce the same or even better sound then my headset I’m currently using.

First let’s cover the Ergonomic design which is the first I’ve seen on any headset. Slipping them into the ears was quite weird at first because they look quite big and large but once inside the ear canal the earpieces slipped snugly into the ear canal without pushing against any parts of your ear. Also even though the headset look chunky to look at, once they are in your ear the headset doesn’t protrude out from the ear which is really great style designing as that’s the last thing you want from a headset.

This superb fitting is where you notice the ambient noise attenuation which isn’t the best, I could still hear all the background noise while no sound was in playback which was quite surprising to say the least but once sound was being played back I couldn’t hear anything except for what was being played. It all really depended on the volume level being played which really isn’t a bad thing especially when you’re out and about. The fitting was also tested while doing more energetic tasks like exercising and so on and I wasn’t let down by the ISURUS at any time, once the drivers were in place they stayed there no matter what I was doing.

Thermaltake have chosen an innovative speaker driver for bass performance and what a powerful bass was being flooded into my ear canal when I first started using the headset. Some headphones that boost high bass sound can lose a lot of the clarity and just bombard you with bass all the way through the sound playback but the ISURUS gaming headset gives you brilliant bass as well as a rich dynamic audio quality to them so whatever you are listening to, the sound was really clear, sharp and precise and this clarity all became apparent while performing the gaming tests and audio test, every note change could be heard exquisitely through a whole ranges of different games and music types which were: Call of Duty, Battle Field bad company 2, Medal of honor, Pop, Rock and some Classical made it in there as well.

Throughout the gaming test the bass really came into its own right from the start as every explosion and gun fire had a right amount of frequency to them that was really noticeable, you could really make out how far away your emery and which direction they were shooting you from. The definition ranges where really precise at every volume level and the bass clarity stayed the same throughout, no farting was present.

Testing the microphone clarity while gaming was a highlight as every word was crystal clear even under heavy fire and bombs going off around me and that was followed though to the multimedia test as well, every voice was clear and sharp even while I was out and about I could make out every word. The Microphone picked up every word that I spoke into it without having the need to hold it up to my mouth even with traffic noises around me in the background when I tested it (only one ear piece in mind you) while driving with my mobile.
