SteelPad 4S Professional Gaming
PART 1 Ė In the Box
Today I am taking a look at the First of a few Pro Mouse mats that are supposed to improve you mouse response and of course accuracy. The first to come under scrutiny is the SteelPad 4S before I open the package I will tell you what SteelPad claim this will do.
The ultimate preference of ProGamers. The greater size of this pad has been especially determined by the most critical user - YOU! Description: Length 290 mm - Width 257 mm - Thickness 3.5 mm (feet included) - Does not work with Logitech Optical mice other than the MX Series
Well as it points out this wont work with any Logitechís other than the MX series so if you have got a Logitech and its non MX there is no point you reading this if you Logitech is a MX then read on.
Letís open it up shall we.
Opening the package I find the (Steel Padsurfer) Teflon feet, but first of all letís talk about the mat it self. The 4S is made of metal and has a nice spotless finish although black SteelPad have made sure it isnít glossy (otherwise the response would be quite bad) overall I was impressed. The only thing I could point out as maybe a down side is the rubber backing, what about it? Well itís separate from the mouse itself, look below to see.
I Wasnít sure I liked that as it could cause movement why playing and disrupt your play, we will find out if this is the case soon so let us setup the mat and get testing. The first thing you need to do is cut the Teflon tape to size
Now before you go any further I would like to suggest you clean your mouse feet and around them before applying the Teflon tape otherwise you will just be wasting the tape. Just get a pin to clean the in the gaps around the feet, once you have done this you are ready to stick the tape on.
