Part 2 – Performance

Now that’s done we are ready to test if the mouse response has improved. Well a good start by the 4S the Mouse response has improved and I didn’t even need to test the rate, as soon as I moved the mouse I could feel the difference. It felt sharper and more responsive but that’s not the way I am going to test it. The test will involve 30-40 minutes on each game, after which I will change back to the old mouse mat to see the difference. The reason I am doing it this way is I will notice any performance drop straight away. The Games for the test are old favorite Counterstrike, Unreal Tournament2004, Doom3 and Joint ops (this also means I can get 4 hours of gaming in nice). Testing didn’t get too far, the reason for this was as soon as I changed back to my old mouse mat it only lasted 5 minutes. What I am basically saying is my old mouse mat was crap compared to this, after 5 minutes of swapping back to the old mat I couldn’t carry on playing with it after experiencing this. It was just sub standard so the old mouse mat never got used I just carried on using this I couldn’t bring myself to start using the old one again. Nice mat!

Part 4 – Conclusion

Well what can I say, ok the separate Rubber base could be annoying but boy did I have fun testing it. The only downside was my old mat cost me 15 quid and its now sitting in the shed there’s not much I can say that I haven’t already above. Apart from this mat is excellent not only does it look sleek it actually performs well. If you are after a mouse mat that looks good and performs well this could be it responds well and looks good. The only downside is it should have a fixed Rubber base other than that it was an excellent mat.

Pros

Solid mat

Performs well in games

Large improvement on standard

Looks Slick

Cons

The separate rubber base
