Now the part of the review that most of you want to read. What do they sound like? Read on to find out…..
After setting the speakers up ( a very simple task that took 5 minutes ) Now everything was in position and the speaker places set ( all 5 satellites were placed on a marked spot to ensure that the 2 speaker sets had 5 speakers in identical places) it was time to run a few tests. Now bear in mind this speaker set can be found for 56 GBP and to be honest at that price I am not expecting anything great.

After a few days of each kit I was pretty impressed when you consider the price gap of the speaker set I compared this against. I would have to say I was happy, the bass on the Audics 5.1 was spot on and I could push the speakers up quite high before I got any sort of waffle from the sub. This doesn't take away the speakers quality as I have a Yamaha SUB on my home theatre setup that cost 3 times the price of the Audics 5.1 set and that can waffle on high levels. Ok the bass is not as good as the Yamaha or the Gigaworks sub but I didn’t expect it to be because of it being half the size. On the gaming front these speakers were spot on and I couldn’t fault them at all. Its not like you need to play games over loud. The DVD 5.1 sound reproduction was accurate and the sound crisp and sharp, as for music reproduction I found these speakers to reproduce higher notes slightly better than the Gigaworks, Strange but true
