†††††††† ††††††††NITRUS 1.5 Gig MP3 PLAYER
Before I start this review I would like to tell you about the technology in this player. It doesnít use memory to run it uses a 1 inch 1.5 gig HDD yep thatís right a HDD we have heard loads about these little gems but this is the first device we have had to review with one
Ok enough of the technology and on with the review
PART 1 Ė In the Box
We have decided that with so many mp3 players on the market now days its time we reviewed a few. We are going to review a few some at the higher end of the market (high capacity) and some at the lower end (budget) to start of we are looking at the Rio Nitrus. Now were talking a 1.5 gig mp3 player thatís not much bigger than a processor. To start off lets see what we get in the package.
Included in the package is the Nitrus itself, AC adapter for charging, instructions + software, USB cable and a set of headphones. To start off I would like to mention the head phones, I was very pleased to see that
One of the first things I notice is the finish on the player itself, it was that shiny I had to de-buff it for photos. Ok letís tell you what the buttons are, top left is the main button this is for the changing, pausing, playing and stopping the music, the little silver button above the lcd is the power switch.
Bottom left shows the volume buttons on the side and bottom right the scroll-wheel and the menu button. Also on the rear it has I lock switch I liked this as well because if you lock it while the player is off the Nitrus wonít be able to turn on by accidental pressing of it.
Bellow are some shots of the player next to an K7 (socket A) processor.
I told you it was Small!
