On paper the Power Color PCS+ HD5550 has everything you would need of a card in this range, and possibly more. It comes with 3, yes 3 video outputs, Dual Link DVI, HDMI and VGA. Though I suspect you probably won’t be able to use both digital outputs at the same time. Having HDMI this would be a perfect addition to any media centre pc as it will do all the video decoding even Hi Definition video.
It has a respectable 512mb of GDDR5 memory running at a very impressive 900Mhz (3600Mhz equivalent) with a 128bit memory interface, and the core is running at an equally nippy 650Mhz.
As you might expect being a 5000 series card it is fully DX11 compatible so the latest games could be played in all their glory. Also if you wish to do so you can add another 5550 and run them in Crossfire for some extra gaming power.
Should you be lucky enough to own one, the Power Color PCS+ HD5550 can run the largest of monitors with a max resolution of 2560x1600 from the DVI output.
