The box for the Nexus Value 430 power supply is a little different than you might expect, or maybe not, as this is the “Value” range the box is a “no frills” box, not only is it somewhat plainer than usual it is made from unbleached recycled paper and only printed with 2 colours making it as environmentally friendly as possible.
On the bottom of the box we find a couple of paragraphs explaining how Nexus have tried to make the Nexus Value 430 as eco friendly as possible using recycled material for the box and limiting the colours used on it etc.
We also find some quite detailed info on the actual power supplies features and specifications. Along with a connector listing and the seemingly mandatory chart listing the power output of each power rail.
The sides of the box carry some interesting info too, such as the efficiency graph showing the Nexus Value 430’s efficiency never drops below 80% even up to 100% load. The other graph shows fan speed against noise, the fan at full speed only produces just over 25dB, which, according to the graph is quieter than the noise in a “quiet room”.
I have included copies of the graphs taken from the Nexus website as you can’t make them out properly in the photos.
The other interesting fact shown on the box is the Nexus Value 430 is actually smaller than your average ATX power supply by some 15mm, it may not sound a lot but if you are building a small form factor machine it could make all the difference.
The other sides show the same info as carried on the front of the box.
