Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SSD

Conclusion

The Kingston HyperX 3K SSD is a very good drive, not the best on the market or the cheapest but it performs exceptionally well, we could find no array of tasks to load the drive down with that slowed it enough to give a perceptible degradation in performance.

For a high end user, especially the gamer or multi tusker this drive is perfect for you, loading times are super-fast and transfer drop-offs are virtually non-existent. Games and other large, complex programs load almost instantly.

Kingston lined this drive up perfectly slotting it in to the enthusiast market, although very useful to the low end and casual user who would benefit from the performance but would not be able to tap the drives full potential.

The Kingston HyperX 3K 120gb SSD receives a gold award for superb performance, a slight blemish of the price prevents this from being a true platinum worthy product but I assure you get a lot for your money.

Pros

  • Super-Fast
  • Consistent performance across the board
  • Sturdy construction
  • Huge array of included accessories
  • User friendly clone and back up utilities

Cons

  • Higher than average price

The bottom line: This is a great drive, slightly on the high end of the price bracket but worth every penny, the Kingston HyperX 3K outperforms 80% of the SSDs In its performance bracket by a mile. For the avid gamer and multi-application junkie out there looking for speed loading and stable file transfers this is the drive for you.
