Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SSD

First Impressions

For a device the size of an SSD the box is huge, overall design and presentation is eye catching and well presented with graphic displaying the key features one would expect of any top end SSD from a big name brand.

Inside the SSD is very well protected in a foam cut out and comes with a cover of protective film so as to preserve the brushed aluminium effect top plate.

Taking off the top tier reveals the first of the accessory trays, also protected in foam cut outs.

Under the accessory tray is…. You guessed it…. Yet another accessory tray including mounting bracket, SATA cable and USB cable.

To say the sheer amount of contents was a surprise would be an understatement and explains the size of the box.

Package contains

  • Kingston HyperX 3K SSD
  • External SSD enclosure
  • SSD mounting bracket
  • USB cable\
  • SSD transfer and backup disc
  • Mini screwdriver
  • Mounting screws

More manufacturers could do with taking Kingston’s example to heart *Cough OCZ Cough*, whilst this is a lot of accessories, they have covered every possible use most consumers could have for an SSD.
