The use of 4 heatpipes in a U shape is common amongst enthusiast HSFs these days, so it is good to see this is not missing on the Evercool Transformer 4. Much like most HSFs as well, the Transformer 4’s fins are made of aluminium.

The Transformer 4 is compatible with a wide range of CPUs, this is great as it means should you currently be running an older gen CPU (e.g. P4, C2D, Athlon etc) then you could buy this now for use with your current CPU, and use it with future upgrades (e.g. Athlon Phenom X4 or Core i7).
