Enermax, founded in Taiwan in 1990, have become a name synonymous with quality power supplies and cases over the last 15 years.  Whenever I see someone ask about what Psu to buy for their new system, Enermax is always there as a top recommendation amongst a few other quality brands.

Seeing as most companies have had PSU’s with over 500 Watts for some time, yet total requirements for standard systems are typically staying below this level, power supply manufacturers are having to innovate rather than just provide stable PSU’s to ‘stay in the game’.  While this is difficult with so many restraints on form factor, Modular PSU’s are becoming the thing to have.  They reduce clutter, and make it much easier to run those power cables around the case. 

So enter the Liberty Series PSU, Enermax’s entry into the modular power supply arena.   It comes in 3 power flavors, 400Watt, 500Watt and 620Watt.  Today I will be looking at the 500W version.
