As Crucial’s parent company Micron deal with a lot of oem I expected the packaging to be like this rather than a plastic presented job, I suppose it doesn’t matter to most, but those in actual shops rather than buying on line would actually end up buying something better presented. However, who am I to argue, Crucial know how much gets sold in real world retail and if it’s not sufficient enough there is no point changing it. I do know however that Crucial do make a fair bit of online sales and the plain box does not really matter in them stakes. As most online shoppers of hardware, however I would of like to have seen some more details on the box and some better packaging on there higher end performance ram.

Does the packaging really count, well not really as its what is inside that does. Before we open this up lets look at the features and specs.
