Gigaworks S750 7 1 speaker set
Today we are reviewing Creative’s top of the line set of speakers the Gigaworks 7.1 S750 set, this is the most expensive set creative offer. Is it worth the price or is it just another good looking kit, read on to find out.
Part 1 – The Package
The First thing you will pick up is the weight of this box, boy is it heavy and I am being serious the weight was enough to make me believe there was a serious bit of kit inside. The kit was that big I had to take the photos in the kitchen because of the room needed. Most of you know that creative make good kits but what’s so special about the S750 set to warrant an average price of 220-279 pounds, let’s get this kit out and find out.
I will take you through stage by stage what each segment of the package contains so let’s start with the speaker box. After lifting it out and opening it you will come face to face with the 7 satellite speakers, these are all well protected and in mint condition.
After removing the packaging and getting all the speakers out you will be left with theses.
I think these look quite nice (but could have been better) and were pretty weighty on there own, but that doesn’t count. What counts are specs and performance and the sound they produce, let me give you the specs. for the Satellites.
The ultimate in high-end, reference-quality PC surround sound.
- Seven wall-mountable two-way satellite speakers
- One subwoofer
- One Audio Control Pod
- One wireless remote control (Batteries included)
- Six speaker desktop stands
- One monitor stand (Downward facing)
- Three 10ft / 3m cables for front speakers
- Two 16ft / 5m cables for side speakers
- Two 23ft / 7m cables for rear speakers
- 7.1 audio cable
- User manual
- Warranty and Technical
As you can see there are a lot of positive stuff about these speakers, especially the impressive 75 watts RMS satellite speakers even the sub is an impressive 210 watts RMS. Wow these are looking very good at the moment with these specs, before we go on to the sub lets take a look at the rest of the package.
Removing the next box and opening it reveals the accessories, aka the wires and speaker stands ect.
I left this photo sideways so you can have a better look at them all and as you can see there are loads. Including a sticker set so you can identify the speaker cables, very important with this amount of satellites.
The speaker mounts attached with no problem but the nice touch was the one at the bottom. This is for the centre speaker and enables you to mount it on the monitor. The idea is simple yet it works well, but there is still crew mounts for wall mounting as well.
As you can see the final result is 1 centre, 1xfront left, 1xfront right and of coarse the same fore the middle and the rear. This in theory should give you that special cocooned feel and be the ultimate experience.
