Cooler Master have taken a ‘less is more’ approach with the Z600’s box, and as it is my favourite design approach it means they have scored brownie points from the get go. The picture of the cooler is actually glossed over, and so stands out nice and shiny compared to its matt background.
The side of the box lists the cooler’s compatibility and a few of its main features.
The other side of the box shows pictures of the cooler, which is pretty useful for gauging its size whilst it is still in the box.
The back of the box further expands on the CPU compatibility as well as some hard specifications. There is a disclaimer under the bottom section setting out under what conditions the cooler will work properly as passively cooled. Cooler Master recommends using a CPU with a TDP of less than 89W for passive use, and that case fans are used in the computer chassis.
The Z600 looks to be snugly secured, but before we check, let’s have a look at its specifications in detail.
