CM Storm Sentinel Advance II Mouse

Conclusion

Cooler Master have aimed high with the Storm Sentinel Advance II, alas, it falls short, whilst the Sentinel Advance II performs well in an FPS style game if fails in an RPG where maximum number of mapped buttons and the ability to switch through them easily is king.

The GUI is an overly complex monster that is poorly organized and bloated, needing two or three steps to make a simple action.

That aside it is still a good product for the money and if you are looking for a sturdy mouse that caters to palm grip play styles for the FPS of your choice you will get a very good mid-level mouse for your money (£44 best price online).

Tanking all points in to account the Cooler Master Storm Sentinel Advance II receives our Silver award admittedly being saved from Bronze mostly by its price point and comfort of use. Cooler Master could have done a much better job with the Storm Sentinel Advance II, usability falls far from being a top class gaming mouse, but it fits the middle bracket for casual gaming quite well and the price point is excellent for the features.

Pros

  • Comfortable for palm grip
  • Well Priced
  • Sturdy Construction
  • Weight Adjustment

Cons

  • Limited usage for high end gaming
  • Poorly structured GUI
  • TX functions often get confused in the mouse executing as key binds

Bottom Line: If you are a casual gamer looking for an affordable mouse, this mouse should be on your “to buy” list.
