CM Storm Sentinel Advance II Mouse

Physical Layout

Whilst CM’s marketing blurb states a mouse for all grip styles this is clearly a palm grip mouse with its long body and wide rear section. Cooler Master have added a small LCD screen to the top to display Dpi and simple images you may wish to add to personalise your mouse.

The button placement is pretty standard with clickable middle button and easily accessible Dpi switching vie the two control buttons above the middle click and profile switching via a hot button located directly in front of the scroll button.

The two ports in the front are part of the illumination system giving a slight glow of the colour of your choice just ahead of the mouse.

Left side carries the classic forward and back navigation buttons, using the GUI the back button (TTX) can be toggled in to a mode shift key allowing for multi key press button combos to be employed.

No surprises on the bottom, although it is worth noting that there are four feet that will help somewhat with wearing of the glide pads extending the life of the pads. Four pads also helps with the stability as some mice on the market with three or even two pads tend to have a little wobble.

The odd little panel on the bottom rather reminiscent of a battery access hatch is a cover for the weight compartment, the Sentinel Advance II comes with five 4.5g weights to allow for a greater degree of mouse performance tweaking than most non weighted mice.

Overall the design is good and materials are high quality with sturdy construction
