abit Silent OTES™
The abit patented heat pipe absorbs and conducts thermal energy from the North bridge to the PWM area where the airflow blows heat out of the case through the back panel.
abit SoftMenu™
The original jumperless motherboard design allows for CPU setting changes completely through the BIOS. For Giga Overclocking! Boost your PC's Performance by up to 50%. Convenient and easy-to-use fine-tuning from within a self-explanatory BIOS menu.
Everything you would expect of a modern motherboard is there including support for the latest AM2+ cpus’ (Phenoms), along with one or two unusual features, the rear mounted cmos reset switch for one, which seems to be an Abit only feature at the moment. The HDMI audio header is becoming a bit more popular but isn’t common so it’s good to see that, a potentially invaluable feature for a media pc.
You can tell its more towards the budget end of the market as it only has 4 Sata ports which some may find restrictive, add a Sata optical drive, like I intend to, and you only have 3 spare. Also I notice no mention of firewire, again maybe due to cost cutting to keep the price down, I suspect this won’t be a problem for the vast majority of users though.
