BitFenix Raider ATX case

Posted by: editor on: 06.02.2012 10:24:04 [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

Conclusion

The BitFenix Raider is solidly constructed and features refined, modest looks with nicely proportioned corners and style. The BitFenix SoftTouch treatment across the front and top of the case is well appreciated and provides a somewhat matt-black look against the deep black paintjob.

Inside of the case is plenty of room and flexibility, capable of taking even the largest of graphics card I have encountered (and probably able to take quite a bit more). Cable routing has been thoroughly thought out and is definitely one of the best cable routing efforts I’ve seen.

The inbuilt fan controller is also a nice touch – and not at all ghastly or shouty like many on the market, but is rather hidden away on the top of the case next to the I/O ports.

Overall I really like this case – it isn’t one which shouts enthusiast, but rather might appeal to someone looking for a professional look with a want for advanced features and airflow.

Pros

  • Refined looks
  • Good build quality
  • SoftTouch treatment (always a positive!)
  • Quiet stock fans
  • Great Airflow
  • Great cable routing

Cons

  • Only 3 available HDD slots when running a larger graphics card

Reality Check: At around £70 online, the BitFenix Raider provides great value and build quality, in a nicely refined and thoroughly thought out layout.
